Salesforce Developer Meet Up – October 2013

It’s that time of the month again when all us developers and wanna be developers get together for lightening talks, pizza, beers and some spot socialising. This month’s meet-up was at the Make Positive office near London Bridge.

First up is Keir Bowden (aka Bob Buzzard) with a whistle stop tour of building sites on the platform and some useful tips for building unauthenticated site solutions. sites Overview Deck from Bob Buzzard

Next we have Joshua Hoskins from Appirio to talk about CloudSpokes and how to fill your spare time with coding challenges whilst earning cash and learning not to be a one trick pony. He certainly reinvigorated me to step up for another challenge, possibly not based around Salesforce.

Last up Andy Mahood from Tquila for more reinvigoration, but this time around the console integration toolkit, a widely used piece of functionality which Salesforce have recently renamed to Salesforce console and made available to Sales Cloud users. Andy showed off a list of use cases around extending the console using the integration tool, like reminders. He promises to make the solutions available on GitHub after Dreamforce!
